The release of the Digital Nation CD forms part of the Integrated Studies module of the BTEC Music Technology course.

The module addresses all the aspects of sound recording, the music industry, IT. and basic marketing skills/techniques, to ensure that this module is multi skilled.

Aims of the module

The aims are : To enable the learner to

• Develop on existing skills in audio production preparation and planning
• Instil a basic awareness of the music business, marketing, sales etc.
• Develop on existing skills in sequencer operations, recording techniques etc.
• To encourage creativity and motivation

Learning Outcomes

• Demonstrate organisational skills, planning, preparation, meetings etc.
• Have the ability to work as a team
• Use appropriate terminology
• Effectively demonstrate the ability to control record and engineer compositions
• Identify and implement basic principals of financial planning
