Who is the programme for ?

This programme is aimed at a variety of people including those who wish to advance their creative ideas musically or wish to gain new skills those with an interest in music who wish to progress to Higher Education and DJs looking to advance their live performance.

 

Entry to the programme ?

No formal qualifications are necessary, although enthusiasm and a creative interest in music would be an advantage.

 

When will the programme start and how long will it take ?

The programme will start in September, January and April.

The school will run for twelve weeks with students required to attend 3 hours per week on a Tuesday 6.00pm-9.00pm. Successful students may progress onto the Advanced Music Technology programme in January.

 

What is the programme about?

Students will study the following;

 

MIDI Conversions/Applications

Principals of Multi-timbral Sequencing

Sampling Techniques

Multi-Track Analogue Recording

Compositional Arrangement

Development of Computer Technology

 

How is it assessed ?

Assessment is continuous throughout the programme. Assessment includes the production of a 2/3 minutes composition.

 

 

Future prospects ?

With appropriate additional studies such as Advanced Music Technology 1 and 2 you could progress onto Higher Education.
