Who is the programme for ?
This programme is aimed at a variety of people aged 15 or over who wish to advance their musical ideas and techniques within digital recording, anyone wishing to gain new musical skills over a relatively short period of time and DJs looking to improve their live performance.
Entry to the programme ?
No formal qualifications are necessary, just enthusiasm and a creative interest in music.
How long will it take ?
The school will run for nine weeks, Monday to Wednesday 10am to 4pm.
What will I study?
The summer school will look at the following areas-

Principals of Multitimbral Sequencing
Sampling Techniques
Multi-Track analogue recording
Compositional Arrangement
Development of Computer Technology
Digital Recording
Advanced Sequence Operations
Digital Processors
Audio Engineering
Synchronisation
Recording Techniques
Micro Electronics
How is it assessed ?
Assessment is continuos throughout the nine weeks of the programme. Students will be expected to produce a short (2/3 minutes) composition, as well as completing various other practical assignments.
Future prospects ?
This intensive programme is ideal for anyone looking to work in the music industry and would like a broad foundation in music technology. Alternatively, on successful completion of the programme you could progress onto the National Diploma in Music Technology.
