Well, who would have thought it, Digital Nation is now a radio show. Digital Nation is a cornucopia of electronic goodies, admittedly we could have stuck a trance CD on for an hour but we thought we'd do something a little bit different. Digital Nation is a radio show like no other because it covers 30 years of electronica, from the beginnings through the likes of the mighty Kraftwerk, the synth-ridden eighties, the rave and techno filled nineties right up to the present day where big beat fights it out with trance, hard house and drum and bass in the arena of millennium music.
So what should you expect, well variety thats for sure. We feature some of the giants of dance, Orbital, Fatboy Slim, The Chemical Brothers, some of the overlooked heros such as Dreadzone and the Orb, off the wall tracks from Squarepusher, Freq Nasty and Tipper, tracks from the Music Technology students (and lecturers) at St Helens College, exclusive remixes, a bit of rap, classic dance tunes, some very hard house, there really is something for everyone.
The show is being brodcast courtesy of St Helens College's SOLAR 1287AM radio station on Thursday Nights.
