Tell us something about yourself. How long have you been making music ?

Afterlife '98 is the work of two parties Digital Dream (Darren Chrimes, 21 years old) and Vibe Tribe (Kevin Horn who is 30 years old). Dance producers Darren and Kevin have been writing together for four years. The track was originally written in 1996 by Kevin Horn. It started life as a drum and bass tune but the remix by Darren changed the elements into a techno/trance tune.

How would you describe 'Afterlife '98 ?

Kevin: Pumpy, jumpy house

Darren: Dreamy trance

Who are your biggest musical influences ?

Kevin: Kraftwerk 'cos they were the first electronic band in the world. And 'A Guy Called Gerald' 'cos he's my mate

Darren: 'Vibe Tribe' 'cos he believed in me and has helped me develop the techno/trance style I now make

Who do you think produces the best electronic/dance music at the moment ?

Kevin: Me and Darren produce the best dance music at the moment.

Darren: I think anything on the 'Positiva' , 'Hooj Choons', 'Perfecto' and 'Xtravaganza' labels are releasing the best dance music at the moment.

Where can you see the dance/electronic scene going.

Kevin: Fracturing into a million pieces, a varied amount of influences fused into one big blob

Darren: I think many more types of music are going to be made, as more and more people experiment with different styles
